Formic acid is made today from oil feedstock using fossil fuels for energy. In looking ahead it is certain that oil prices generally will be volatile and will rise. ERC formic acid (and the later products to be developed) will have their own dedicated sources of green electrical energy and will not be subject to the same pressures – ERC formic acid is projected to be profitable today and will become more so as time passes.
