Mantra Energy Alternatives Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mantra Venture Group Ltd. (MVTG, OTCBB:MVTG). It owns an intellectual property, a patent applied for, called the Electro Reduction of Carbon Dioxide. ERC was developed first at the University of British Columbia at the Clean Energy Research Centre by Professor Colin Oloman (for 7 years) and more recently at the Mantra laboratory (for 2 years). The development process has been funded in the last two years with a blend of equity and government grants, the latter from NRC IRAP (National Research Council – Industrial Research Assistance Program).
