Seattle, WA, March 4, 2008: Mantra Venture Group Ltd. (OTCBB: MVTG - FSE: EDV 5MV) is pleased to report that Dr. Ben Anthony, a member of Mantra’s Scientific Advisory Board, has been appointed as the Head of the Canada’s Clean Electric Power Generation (“CEGP”) program.

According to Natural Resources Canada “The CEPG is Canada’s centre of excellence for the development of efficient stationary combustion processes and pollution abatement technologies to support industrial development nationally and internationally…CEGP is actively developing and deploying processes and tools that increase knowledge of combustion, substantially reduce greenhouse gases, and improve the efficiency of combustion-based power generation.”
The CEPG program is administered by National Research Canada and works in partnership with numerous agencies, universities and research institutes, including Environment Canada, the United States Departments of Energy and Environmental Protection, and the International Energy Agency. Dr. Anthony’s appointment as the head of CEPG reflects the stature and importance that the Government of Canada attaches to green, sustainable energy production and to Dr. Anthony’s involvement in this field of endeavor.
